Welcome new students and parents!
Teaching music has been part of my life for nearly twenty years. For me, teaching is about sharing my love of music, providing genuine musical mentorship, and for fostering solid playing technique and artistry - so that any student (with time and practice) can eventually become their own teacher.
Whether you are a first-time beginner, serious student, or amateur adult looking to refine your playing, I'm here to work with you.

My home is located in the
Upper Uwchlan
area of Chester County, Pennsylvania.
I am convenient to the following areas: Downingtown, Great Valley, Coatesville, Phoenixville, and West Chester.
I offer the comfort and convenience of a large teaching space.

Lesson Scheduling & Availability
Teaching Style
Every lesson is tailored to each individual student - however a typical lesson will focus on these areas of instruction: warm-ups & scales, playing duets together, technical work through etude pieces or method books, and rehearsing performance/solo pieces.
Selection of private lesson materials is made in consultation with the student and/or parent. For younger, beginning, and intermediate students, I will generally focus on supporting the traditional teaching method books that a student might use in a school setting. After covering those materials, I usually offer more by teaching standard solo pieces or orchestral excerpts.
For advanced (and adult) students, I offer to help achieve their musical goals by focusing on repertoire and techniques specific to the student's goals.
